Ken Clarke Lord Chancellor, Grieve AG

Ken Clarke is to be Lord Chancellor. That will be fun! And none of us guessed.

It’s obviously a disappointment for Dominic Grieve, who shadowed the post in opposition. But I gather he’s to become Attorney General — which may well suit him rather better.

No news of Edward Garnier, yet, but he’d make a good Solicitor General.

Update:  Good to see that David Cameron agrees with my choice for Solicitor General.
