It's All About the Music
I had a wonderful time talking to the opera director John Copley last week. His production of La Boheme has been at the Royal Opera House for *34 YEARS*. As they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Opening night is Saturday and Andris Nelsons takes the baton, with Piotr Beczala as Rodolfo. Here is my interview with John, who talks about his friendships with Solti, the Kleibers, Pavarotti and a host of diva-ish divas...
